Free doesn’t get you very much these days… And free certainly doesn’t buy you a lifetime of great memories. But as we know in this game… Every competitive upland hunter starts out in the game with high expectations for success, but usually not with a free dog that shows big potential!

For Eric Wagner, little did he know it was that “free dog” that would make him a name in the game.

The Legend, “Jackhammer”, dominated the sport winning not only in the south but also in the north where he would continually pull off spectacular runs. After his BDC NATIONAL Title he would go on to win the 2004 “WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS” on National Television where Eric would tell his great story.

Winning a BDC NATIONAL Title in 2003 and making the TOP 10 Run-Off in almost every Super Major he attended was something that was natural for this hard working German Shorthair Pointer. He brought a tough attitude to the game, with great heart and have his owner, Eric Wagner, some very special memories.

“Jackhammer” enters the BDC Hall of Fame a Legendary Status Champion earning 585 Lifetime Champion Points; Championed 29X with 2 Super Major Championships, 1 BDC National Championship, and a World Championship Title.

He was a great dog and will forever be remembered.
