Every competitive upland game hunter starts out in the game with high expectations, usually with a puppy that shows big potential.
For Jeremy Hoyt, it was his new Risky Raider female Labrador Retriever that would make him a name in the game.
Lexus Risky Run For Gold dominated the late 1990’s in the flusher division, winning puppy titles and High Point awards. She also won the hearts of the “new class” of competitors that had the great opportunity to handle her in the field.
She showed the desire to work for the gun like few dogs ever have or ever will, and changed the game with the ability to handle between two hunters and retrieve to each with ease.
Over her career she whelped some of the top litters, and is the mother to some of the best Labradors in the game today.
Her focus on the job at task never faltered. Her drive, consistency, quick retrieve, and incredible nose for birds were her best attributes.
Lexus Risky Run For Gold made Jeremy Hoyt the great player he is. She changed the way the game is played and she will never be forgotten. Lexus enters the “BDC Hall of Fame” a Legendary Status Champion with 575 Champion points, and a 29x Champion who has won 2 Super Major Titles.
