Madelyn followed in the footsteps of her BDC Hall of Fame mother, Abby. It seems she was born to play this game. Both Madelyn and her mother were hunted by many tournament hunters throughout their careers and both found success. Like their human teammates, they truly loved to bird hunt. Even though Madelyn’s career was cut short, many wonderful and lasting memories were created over the years of playing this game. Madelyn would earn her first Super Major win in the Puppy Division at the US Open in 2006. Madelyn would go on in her career and win 12 more Super Majors with several different handlers in every division she competed in.

What is most special about Madelyn, however, is not her ability in the field. Her willingness to please and sweet-natured disposition is what sets her apart. She is not pushy and never makes a peep. She looks for direction and executes field commands with precision. Yet, she is happy to just curl up into a little ball and be next to you. She loves getting a well-deserved treat each day. And, she means the world to her family. Madelyn is truly special, and to those that had the pleasure of spending time with her will say she is the sweetest.

Today, March 15, 2018, Madelyn enters the BDC Hall of Fame with 1762 Super Major Points, and an 88 time Champion. She is ranked #2 in the Lifetime Pointing dog standings and has 13 Super Major wins, 19 Major wins and is a Legendary Status Champion. Having a special place in the hearts of so many, Madelyn will forever be remembered.
